We have now arrived in Cape Town
We are staying with a friend of mine.
Early in the morning we will be taken to see everything in Cape Town.
We will stop to have something lovely to eat and drink.
After lunch we are heading to see the penguins which I have never seen.

The Boulders
It has become world famous for its thriving colony of its African Penguins.Nestled in a sheltered cove between Simons Town and Cape point They are sheltered from the wind and have safe beaches
There are people who live very close to the beach and this is were some of the penguins live. The owners are allowed to bring a dog but it must be on a lead. The Penguins can swim at seven kilo's an hour and can stay under the sea for two minutes. They must look out for sharks and try to keep Gulls away who steal the eggs and take the new born chicks. From two breading pairs in 1982 the Penguin Colony had grown to about 2 - 200 in recent years this is due to the partly reduction in the commercial pelagic trading in Falls Bay which has increased the supple of anchovy as it is part of their diet. |
We were getting little tired so we decided we needed a little rest
and we call our-self Lord and Lady

Rebecca decided to climb the very top and I’m taking the pictures.
Now is time leave. It has been a wonderful experience for her and she feels very lucky.
